Happy 104th Gladys Pestana
Yes you read it right on May 22nd, 2007 my favorite resident at Hunt Community turned 104 years old. Mrs. Pestana is the most gracious person I’ve ever met. I love sitting with her and talking about just about anything that comes to our minds. She has the most beautiful christmas catcus plants I’ve ever seen and she’s even started me on my own collection. Everytime I look at them I think of her. We were talking one day about our childhoods and I had mentioned we were allowed to play outside until the fog horn sounded at 8:00pm. Then it was time to come in to which she replied she had to come in when the lamplighter lit the lamps. She has such great stories to share and each day I get to spend with her is a complete blessing. So Happy Birthday to my favorite lady.
