Stone Zoo
On June 5th AJ’s second grade class had a field trip to the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, Ma. It was a great day filled with wild animals of all different kinds. My favorites of course were the big cats. They had beautiful cougars, jaquars & a snow leopard. My least favorite were the wolves just because I’m afraid of them. However they had a beautiful habitat and they were huge. I would recommend checking out this little zoo. They also have a discovery building where there are a lot of hands on exhibits. I got to hold an african millipede. It has 204 legs and when it walks across your hand if feels like your being tickled by a toothbrush. The zoo may not have the typical animals you’d see at a big zoo, but they do have excellent animals and habitats. For more information check out their website www.stonezoo.org
