Oh By the Way I Signed Your Name.
Words you never want to hear. Trust me on this one. A couple of days ago my mothers tells me “Oh by the way I signed your name so AJ could be in a raffle.” I looked at her and said to what? Then the bomb drops. The raffle was for one of the students to take home the classroom pet for the summer and return it in the fall. Well the classroom pet is a fiddler crab named Pie. There have been many of them through the school season since they die very easily. I looked at my mother and thought shes paying me back for all the times I forged her signature on things. Well I got over the shock and realized what are the odds of AJ actually winning this raffle. So Friday comes and I’m at work and the school calls. I’m thinking oh something happened to AJ he doesn’t feel well. No such luck the call was to inform me that he won the raffle and that I would need to pick up AJ and the crab after school. So now we welcome Pie into the Vermette family and pray that she makes it through the summer. All though we are not off to a good start. She didn’t have any food and the tank needs to be cleaned. So off to the pet store for fresh water and food we go. Please say some prays for us that Pie makes it to the new school year.
